Request ASL, Braille or Large Print

It is Mecklenburg County policy to ensure that all information provided about County programs, services, and activities are effective for everyone. The County will furnish appropriate auxiliary aids and services so that an individual with a disability may fully participate in any County program.

Auxiliary aids and services may include qualified interpreters, note takers, transcription services, written materials, or other effective methods of making written, Braille materials or large print materials alternatively available.

While the County will make every effort to fulfill all modification requests, we ask that requests relating to public meetings and hearings be submitted at least one week in advance. Those relating to on-going services and programs are requested to be submitted at least 48 hours in advance.

In determining what type of auxiliary aid or service is necessary, the County will work with the individual to determine the best solution.
